How to change my Instagram URL

Because your URL changes whenever you change your username, that is how you change your URL! So if you really want to change your Instagram URL, first try to change your username. Then, you should see that change come up when you try to fin your URL.

Need a refresher on changing your username on Instagram? Here’s how:

  • First, open the Instagram app and navigate to your account page.
  • Then, tap the “edit profile” button. You will be direct to a screen where you can change your profile photo, name, username, website, bio and edit your personal information.
  • Here, you can tap your username and type in a new one.
  • The only problem you may face is your desired username already being taken. Be creative if you come across this problem!
  • Lastly, hit done and your username has officially changed!
