Kylie Rae Harris’s Instagram stories before she died are absolutely haunting. Kylie Rae Harris was an American singer-songwriter from Texas. In September 2019, she died at only 30 years old.
She passed away in a car accident in which her car collided with another. Investigations revealed she had been driving at 95 miles per hour when the crash happened and that she was under the influence of alcohol. The teenager driving the other car was also killed.
In 2017, Kylie had a drunk driving conviction and had to have an ignition interlock device in her car. It hasn’t been revealed why this device did not stop her from driving on the fateful September day.
Kylie Rae Harris released songs such as “Twenty Years From Now” and “Big ‘Ol Heartache”. She was a single mother to a six-year-old daughter. Her song “Twenty Years From Now” is a letter to her daughter which includes the heartbreaking lyrics: ‘God, I hope I’m still around / Twenty years from now’.
Kylie’s Final Moments Posted On Instagram
Kylie Rae Harris was posting videos on Instagram up until her final moments. While most of them were recorded while her car was parked, she did post some while driving.
However, the eerie thing is that the videos she did post while parked were ones where she talked about family members dying in the same area where Kylie was later killed that day.
She talked about being in a car crash with her dad and sister in a nearby area in her final Instagram story.
Kylie Rae Harris’s Instagram account and stories have now been removed. However, you can watch the video of her final Instagram story here.
In the video, she is crying in the driver’s seat as she emotionally reminisces on her family. She says, “Literally everybody that was here has passed away except for my uncle and including my dad.”
She talked about the car accident she was in with her dad, in the haunting final Instagram story before she, too, died in a car crash. “But really he had hit a cow. I know that’s very depressing but just the fact that when I was on my trek into the mountains, I just started crying and I was sad, and all of a sudden these cows just appeared out of nowhere. We grieve in different ways.”
Kylie talks in her final Instagram story that she’s been driving for 12 hours. Kylie Rae Harris was on her way to perform at the Big Barn Dance Music Festival in Taos.
On the long drive, she took to her Instagram stories which are quite haunting to watch back now.
Kylie Rae Harris’s Instagram Stories
The Instagram story she recorded and posted just hours before her death shows her crying. It was later revealed that she had been drunk at the time of the crash and her Instagram stories definitely show that.
She claims in the video that it’s a “good cry”. She had arrived in Taos but seemingly continued to drive later on.
In the Instagram story, she reminisced about her memories in Taos. She talks about how all her family that lived in Taos have now passed away. In the video, she is extremely emotional and quite all over the place with her words. She isn’t necessarily slurring her words, but she doesn’t seem to be thinking straight.
Kylie Rae Harris’s Instagram stories show her going from crying to laughing in just a matter of seconds. She ends the video talking about cows as a metaphor for grief before abruptly ending the video.
It’s haunting that she took to Instagram to talk about death only hours before she herself died.
Response To Kylie’s Death
There has been a massive flurry of well wishes and sadness over the singer’s death. While her Instagram account was still accessible, lots of people would leave comments there to commemorate the single mother of young Corbie.
In fact, it was quite haunting to look at the singer’s final posts of her daughter, her newly styled hair and of course, her driving videos.
Kylie’s publicist said, “We are heartbroken to confirm that Kylie Rae Harris passed away in a car accident last night,” the statement says. “We have no further details to share, and ask for privacy for her family at this time. Everyone that knew Kylie knew how much she loved her family and, beyond that, how much she loved music. The best tribute to her unmatched enthusiasm for both is to spread as much love as you can today, and listen to music that fully inspires you.”
Although there has been a lot of nice comments surrounding the young woman’s death, there are definitely a lot of people angry.
Of course, she had been convicted in 2017 for a DUI. People blame the woman and the system for allowing her to be back behind a wheel.
This is especially heightened when considering that an innocent 16-year-old girl was killed in the crash after her shift at her family’s restaurant.
One YouTube comment says, “A terrible and needless tragedy. Kylie was NOT mother material. 1. She was driving drunk and now she’s killed a precious, innocent human and destroyed a family. Now her daughter has lost her mother. Will her daughter ever forgive her? 2. She moved her daughter 1000 miles from the father of her child. Parents should never move children more than two hours from the non-custodial parent. It is beyond cruel to the child and the father. I hope her daughter’s dad has beaten his “demons” and will raise his daughter to be the opposite of her mother. A terrible, needless tragedy.”
It’s clear that Kylie Rae Harris’s Instagram stories show the singer heading in the wrong direction before her death. It’s probably likely that a few of her messages would have told her to get out of the car and go lay down somewhere to rest. Unfortunately, the singer continued to drive that day and now her daughter is without child.
Eerie Last Instagram Posts
Kylie Rae Harris’s Instagram goodbye was definitely not intentional but it’s certainly eerie. In fact, there have been a few creepy instances like this when people post on social media for the last time without knowing.
In this last post from Robin, he talks about making the decision to do a different plan when climbing Everest. He even says he hopes his plan will work. But of course, this is the last Instagram post from him because he later died during his summit.
He talked a lot about others who had died during the summit. He promotes a Go Fund Me page for those who had lost their lives during the ascent. It’s very eerie to think that the mountain would take him, too, when he next went out climbing.
In this haunting photo from Sydney Loofe, she posts a selfie with the caption “Ready for my date”. This was the last thing she posted before she went out with her Tinder date who later killed her that evening. It’s horrible to think she was so excited to go out only to end up the victim of a horrific crime.
Another terrifying example is this final tweet by Reeva Steenkamp where she asked what people had up their sleeve for Valentine’s Day, the same day on which she was killed by her boyfriend Oscar Pistorius.
There are plenty more eerie examples of people’s final tweets and Instagram photos before they died, including Kylie Rae Harris’s Instagram story which will never be forgotten.
