Thank goodness for this new update. Now, you’re able to mute people on Instagram!
Instead of unfollowing them, and creating some really awkward moments, you can now mute people, and they’ll never know.
Reasons To Mute People On Instagram
There are lots of reasons why you might want to mute people on Instagram.
First, your friend might be spamming your Instagram feed, or posting too many cringy couple photos that don’t want to see. Instead of unfollowing them, you can now mute them.
This means that their photos will not show up on your feed. Sure, they might notice that you’ve stopped liking their stuff, but you’ll still be following them, so they can’t get annoyed!
You can mute people that post way too many baby photos, long stories of drunken nights out, or the same exact selfie every single day.
On the other hand, you might want to mute brands. When doing a brand deal, it’s sometimes a requirement to follow the brand.
Of course, you don’t want to unfollow them in case they might want to collaborate again! However, sometimes their content might not be inspiring enough to appear on your feed.
Now, you can mute their content so you’re still following them, but you don’t have to deal with their constant posts!
